Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and VetCareLog ("we") when you use the website and app. We've kept them in plain words.

1. What VetCareLog is, and isn't

VetCareLog is a record-keeping tool. It helps you keep medical expenses, drives, and caregiver hours in one place and produces a worksheet you can copy onto VA Form 21P‑8416.

• It is not legal, tax, or benefits advice. Nothing in VetCareLog tells you whether you qualify for a benefit, how much you may receive, or what the VA will allow.
• It is not the VA. VetCareLog is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The worksheet is not an official VA document. You fill in, sign, and send the official form yourself.
• Confirm eligibility and what to report with an accredited Veterans Service Officer (VSO), claims agent, or attorney.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older. Keep your password private; you're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us through the Help page if you think someone else got in.

3. Your records are yours

You own what you enter and upload. You let us store, process, and display it only to provide VetCareLog to you and the people you invite. You're responsible for making sure what you record, and what you report to the VA, is true and complete. When you invite someone, they can see (and, if you allow it, change) that record.

4. Free trial, plans, and canceling

• New accounts get 30 days free. No card is needed to start.
• After the trial, adding new entries needs a plan: $4.99 a month or $39 a year. The plan renews automatically until you cancel.
• If you choose a plan during your trial, you're not charged until the trial ends.
• Cancel any time in Plan and settings, under Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Without a plan, you can always still view and download everything you recorded. We never hold your records back.
• If you believe you were charged by mistake, send us a message on the Help page and we'll look into it.
• If prices change, we'll tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.

5. Fair use

Use VetCareLog only for lawful record keeping. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to, try to reach other people's records, overload or break the service, or use it to deceive the VA or anyone else.

6. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Plan and settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. If we ever stop offering VetCareLog, we'll give account holders reasonable notice and time to download their records.

7. No guarantees

We work hard to keep VetCareLog accurate, available, and secure, but it's provided "as is". We can't promise it will be error free or always available, or that any cost you record will be allowed by the VA. Keep your original receipts, as the VA asks.

8. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including a benefit that is reduced, denied, or delayed. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law does not allow us to limit.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell account holders before the change applies. Continuing to use VetCareLog after that means you accept the new terms.
